4-H Projects
What are 4-H Projects?
4-H projects are specific areas of interest for 4-H members and volunteers. Projects provide the opportunity to learn skills in everything from Agriculture to Arts & Communication to Shooting Sports, STEM, and Community Service. Select a project you are interested in and would like to learn about. Don’t be afraid to pick projects you don’t know much about, because the whole point of participating in a 4-H project is to learn about it!
There are three levels of support for Washington County 4-H Projects. You can participate in 4-H projects at the countywide level, or club level, or individually/within your family. While working on your projects, you are encouraged to keep detailed records that can be submitted for awards.
Countywide Level Projects

Each club has project leaders that help in specific projects. Check with your club’s leader to find out which projects are supported by club project leaders. See list below.
Independent/Family Level
These projects do not have club or countywide leadership in Washington County, but the Washington County Extension office can offer guidance and curriculum support to families who select these projects. See list below.
