Youth in grades 6 and older are invited to join the 4-H Science Expedition on Wednesday, November 4, 2026, at UW-Madison.
This one-day trip gives youth the chance to explore science through hands-on activities, meet researchers, and experience life on a college campus.
Participants will take part in four interactive sessions:
- Investigate an “alien blood” crime scene using DNA analysis techniques
- Study fruit flies and learn how scientists use them in research
- Explore space and astronomy at the planetarium and observatory
- Discover how solar energy and farming can work together
Even if you attended last year’s Science Expedition, all activities will be new this year.
Transportation will be provided from county pickup locations. Participants should wear weather-appropriate clothing, long pants, and closed-toe shoes.
Space is limited, and registration is first come, first served. Registration today!
We are also looking for two approved adult volunteers to serve as chaperones for the day. Contact Kelly Dione at kelly.dione@wisc.edu or 262-335-4799 if you’d like to join us as a chaperone.
Don’t miss this exciting opportunity to explore science, meet researchers, and discover future STEM career possibilities.
