Cloverbud Project

The Washington County Cloverbud Project is designed especially for our youngest 4-H members (grades K–2) to explore, create, and grow in a fun, hands-on environment!

Throughout the year, Cloverbuds will participate in monthly themed meetings featuring:

  • Crafts and Activities that spark creativity and build new skills
  • Tours of exciting community locations
  • Service Learning to introduce kindness and giving back
  • Fair Practice to help members feel confident and excited for the Washington County Fair
  • And so much more!

Cloverbud meetings are welcoming, age-appropriate, and focus on building confidence, curiosity, and friendships – one small step at a time.

Join us as we make memories, learn new things, and explore the fun world of 4-H!

March

🍎March Cloverbud Meeting: Books for Cooks & Hug Monster Service Project

This month’s theme is Books for Cooks, an engaging Iowa 4-H program that blends cooking and literacy led by Emily. Cloverbuds will get hands-on in the kitchen while practicing reading, speaking, and listening skills. We’ll be making fresh salsa and learning about kitchen safety, trying new foods, and making healthy food choices!

💚 Service Project – Hug Monsters
After our cooking fun, we’ll shift gears to spread some kindness! Youth will create “Hug Monsters,” adorable stuffed creatures meant to bring comfort and joy to someone in need.

This is a great opportunity for Cloverbuds to learn, create, and give back all in one workshop.
