Washington Co. 4-H is seeking enthusiastic presenters for Washington County 4-H Project Discovery Day on Saturday, February 6, 2027 (event held in Hartford, WI). This event is designed to give youth hands-on exposure to the wide variety of learning tracks available through 4-H. Whether you are a dedicated volunteer, a teen 4-H youth leader, or a community expert, we want you to share your talents! The event itself is from 8am – 12:30pm. A limited amount of funding is available to purchase supplies for your session. (Non 4-H volunteers and 4-H youth leaders must have an approved 4-H volunteer in their workshop.)
What Topics are We Looking For? We welcome interactive presentations that can be completed in a 60-minute session and is age appropriate for 3rd grade and older. Cloverbud (grades K-2nd) presenters will have 30-minute presentations that are done in rotations simultaneously with other Cloverbud presentations in a gym. Presentation topics can be related to 4-H project offerings such as Arts (crafts, painting, leathercraft); STEM/Tech (robotics, Legos, robotics); Environmental (nature, WHEP, plants, forestry, shooting sport); Family & Health (foods, cakes, snacks, sewing, wellness); Animals (crafts, small animal care,) Cloverbuds (any of the above, also play-fair games, dance/songs/movement, storytelling)
