4-H Club: K-9 4-H Club

Years in 4-H: 12

Main 4-H Projects: Dogs, Crochet, Leathercraft

How has 4-H impacted you? 4-H has had a big impact on me, especially through the dog project. It has taught me the importance of consistency and hard work. Training and showing a dog takes dedication, and I learned that if you are not consistent, the progress you want to make will not happen. That lesson applies to every other project I have been involved in: you cannot improve at something if you are not willing to put in the work.

Future Plans: I plan to study Science at Moraine Park Technical College. Later, I hope to continue my education at Bethany Lutheran College in Minnesota to earn my Bachelor of Science in Nursing and become a registered nurse.

Favorite 4-H Memory: One of my favorite 4-H memories was attending leathercraft meetings. Although there were only a few each year, I always looked forward to them because Rob and Michelle were so kind and helpful with my projects. Even after I left the leathercraft project, they still made a point to say hi whenever we saw each other at the fair.
