Engineering: Youth apply the engineering design process to brainstorm, build, test, and improve hands-on structures or mechanical solutions to real-world challenges.
Electricity: Participants explore circuit basics using hands-on snap components to power real-world devices like lights, alarms, and fans while learning how electrical current flows.
LEGO® SPIKE Prime Robotics: Youth combine LEGO building components, sensors, and beginner-friendly block coding to solve fun engineering challenges and practice critical thinking.
Makey Makey Circuits: Kids connect everyday conductive items—like fruit or play-dough—to computers to create interactive buttons, blending circuitry concepts with creative invention.
Micro:bit Coding: Youth learn programming basics using Microsoft MakeCode to write, test, and upload code to a micro:bit microcontroller, seeing their digital ideas run on a physical device.

The 4‑H STEM project invites youth to explore the exciting world of science, technology, engineering, and math through hands‑on, minds‑on activities that make learning both fun and meaningful.
