Washington County 4-H Summer Camp was held June 11–14, 2026 at Upham Woods in Wisconsin Dells. A total of 108 people attended, including youth campers, teen counselors, and adult volunteers—the largest group in five years.
This year’s theme was “Camp at Sea: Catch the Wave of 4-H!” Teen counselors led short learning sessions on ocean topics like coral reefs, boats, erosion, large sea creatures, and aquatic plants. Upham Woods naturalists also shared hands-on lessons, introducing campers to Brad the Hawk, along with sessions on water creatures, snakes and amphibians, orienteering, and survival skills.
Certified archery instructors Lee Delcore and Steven Ohland led archery sessions throughout camp. Campers also enjoyed traditional favorites like crafts, team-building activities, and campfire skits and songs.
It was a fun and memorable four days for everyone involved. See you next year!!!
