Celebrating 100 Years of UW-Extension Washington County!

2018 marks the Centennial of the UW-Extension office in Washington County. To celebrate this milestone, the office hosted a public open house prior to the October 10, 2018 meeting of the Washington County Board of Supervisors. During the open house, participants had an opportunity to learn about UW-Extension Washington County’s historical programs, share memories, and talk to staff and educators about current educational programs offered in Washington County.

Leading up to the open house, historical content was on display at the 2018 Washington County Fair and at community libraries in Germantown, Hartford, Kewaskum, Slinger, and West Bend. Additionally, educators participated in two radio interviews with Rick Jensen at WIBD 101.3FM.

During the County Board meeting that followed the open house, the following resolution was passed commemorating this milestone.
